Summer camp scholarship success

We would not have been able to afford the summer camp without help. My son has been suffering from developmental issues as well as a grief disorder from the loss of his grandmother. He had barely spoken to anyone outside our immediate family. He would often play alone quietly. He loves playdough, and I thought he may do well with clay. I was so impressed with how he became so talkative after the first class! He just kept going and going with all sorts of details of what he'd learned and he insisted he could build "pinch" and "coil" and "slab" pots! It became so important to him, we had to go buy some air dry clay for him to show us! But he was talking! And not just to us, but to his teachers and suddenly to other kids - all of what he knew about clay! It has been a delight to watch him open up and share his ideas and socialize! Just recently I was able to take him to a family day at SCCA, and he was so happy "giving me lessons" with real clay in your studio!
