La Paz | Community Outreach Partner

SCCA is honored to partner with amazing organizations like La Paz for a weekly community outreach program. Through this partnership, we bring clay arts into the hands of communities that may otherwise not be able to experience ceramics classes.

In our weekly classes, we teach the tenets of handbuilding basics: slab, coil, and pinch clay methods. Students create their own work of art using the techniques that they’ve learned, and our SCCA staff processes and fires their work for them to create a functional piece of art for each student to keep.
