On November 15, 2023, SCCA is hosting Empty Bowls with our friends Be the Change Youth Initiative at Mac’s Kitchen. Empty Bowls is a nation-wide potter’s initiative to raise awareness and funds for food insecurity in our communities. SCCA has hosted Empty Bowls events in the past, but this one will be something special. In addition to raising funds for food insecurity in Chattanooga, we want to use this event to discuss how art can be a catalyst for change, both at the individual level and at the community level.
Hosts: Scenic City Clay Arts + Be the Change Youth Initiative
Location: Mac’s Kitchen (313 McFarland Avenue)
Time: 5:30 - 8:00 PM. Dinner served at 6:00.
Tickets: $35.00 (includes ceramic bowl, dinner, dessert)
Fundraising project: Funds will be split between BTCYI, SCCA, and a special project to build a community pantry and closet at Chattanooga Girl’s Leadership Academy. The pantry + closet will be a resource for CGLA students + families and our neighbors in need.
