Scenic City Clay Arts is thrilled to announce the "Clay Makers' Showcase," an exhibition featuring the inspiring works of students from our Clay Makers’ Collective. Hosted by ArtsBuild, this exhibit will run from February 27 through April 24, 2025, and is a must-see for art enthusiasts and supporters of diverse artistic voices.
The opening reception will take place on Thursday, February 27, from 5:30 to 7 PM at ArtsBuild, located at 301 E. 11th Street in Chattanooga. This free event will offer the public a chance to meet the artists, view their unique ceramic pieces, and celebrate the vibrant creativity fostered within the Clay Makers’ Collective. Tickets are not required to attend.
This CMC cohort’s artists include Haley Popp, Annette Longoria-Adams, Kimberly Jones, Ashima Choudhary, Mary Margaret Tickle, Kendra Reams, Jennifer Velazquez, and Jocelyn Zapata Ruiz. This program provides individuals from diverse backgrounds, including people of color and those of various gender expressions, the opportunity to explore ceramics. Through it, participants receive a comprehensive education in ceramics and access to a supportive artist community.
