David Chambers, Founder and Ex. Director: David has been involved in the Arts from childhood. He performed in over twenty productions at the Chattanooga Theater Center. In 2000 David took his first clay class at Chattanooga State. Then transferred to UTC and studied ceramics and sculpture for 7 years. In 2007 he began working for the City of Chattanooga as the manager of the city run Pottery Studio. In July he started, Scenic City Clay Arts, with an abundance of help from fellow artists. He has been teaching for 8 years and finds it as rewarding as making art.
Reiko Rymer, Managing Director: Reiko took her first required pottery class in 1999 and has been hooked ever since. She sells her ceramics at several local businesses: New Moon Gallery, Homegrown Silver and Stone, and Frameworks. She loves the sharing community of SCCA, where beginners work beside and learn from experienced artists. She’s always learning something new. Reiko has three creative daughters, two writers and one who loves fashion.
